Lead Web Developer (m/f/d) eCommerce

With the brands Holzprofi24 and Leondo, we operate some of the leading e-commerce platforms for home & garden in Europe. We combine modern web technologies, data-driven online marketing and powerful logistics to deliver an outstanding shopping experience to our customers. To further develop our platforms, we are looking for a Lead Web Developer (m/f/d) who will help shape our system landscape from a technical perspective, make architectural decisions and provide technical leadership to our development team. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Marketing and Management and actively drive the technological evolution of our e-commerce systems.

• As Technology Lead, you will play a key role in introducing new systems while continuously improving our existing applications, platforms and development processes

• You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring that our systems are built for scalability, performance and security

• You will design and implement complex e-commerce systems, interfaces, plugins and themes while further developing our overall technical architecture

• You will work closely with Product Management, Marketing and other departments to translate business needs into clean, scalable technical solutions

• You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to our development team, support architectural and technical decisions and foster knowledge sharing within the team

• In addition, you will coordinate and manage external development partners and service providers, ensuring high standards of code and development quality

• Degree in Computer Science, a comparable qualification or equivalent practical experience with several years of professional software development experience

• Strong knowledge of PHP, Symfony, JavaScript and modern frontend technologies such as Vue.js / Nuxt.js

• Experience with Shopware or comparable e-commerce platforms, as well as building and evolving complex web applications

• Experience in technical leadership, architectural design or leading development projects

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured way of working

• Excellent communication skills and team spirit, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly
